Cutesey Kittens - mouse string

Postby katze016 » Sat Feb 21, 2015 2:01 am

Has anyone else come across a set where the mouse is attached by a white string instead of plastic wire? The plastic wire kind is the only one listed on Sarafina's site. The first time I received a set like this in a large lot I thought it was just a mix up, but I now have a second set with the white string.

I'm sure it doesn't belong to the 93 Charming Kittens set because that one comes with a white mouse and white peg, as does the Baby Bobcat set. The ones I have are a gray mouse, white string, and gray peg.

None of my sets ever came with the clear Nylon thread on the mouse attachment. My Bobcat had a plain string too!

Yes, I have seen both variations too. I have the string one as well, but think I prefer the wire. It displays better I think.

Awesome! Thanks, Joey. I'd been holding on to a couple sets I have to sell because I didn't think the mouse variation was correct. And I'd have to agree with you; I prefer the wire one for displays too.

The set from my childhood also came with the white string.
It was exactely the way round - until I came to the forum I'd never thought that the clear plastic string really exists...

Yes, me too.
The Bobcat always came with the white fabric, right? I've never seen a clear plastic string along with the Bobcat...

Yes, the Bobcat has only ever come with the a white string, white peg, and white unpainted mouse...to the best of my knowledge. Same thing with the Charming Kittens, except the mouse's eyes are painted black. Only the Cutesey Kittens have had the plastic wire.

I never knew about the clear string until I saw sarafina's pictures. Mine is a white string and I think the clear one would be better.

I think the clear one is just just better for displaying...the white one is easier to play with.
That's the experience I made...
