Nice! Too bad they are asking a pretty ridiculous amount for that tea set. I would love to have the bunny sugar dish, but I can't afford to pay over $300 for it. ;) It does look to be in good condition!

I also noticed it has all brown animals, and the kitty in the chimney! That actually is very interesting. The newer tea sets have white bunnies, at least I'm pretty sure mine does. Is this a variant? I thought the only difference to pre-recall tea sets was the bunny on the sugar dish.

I think the newer set does have all white animals. Also they just took out the animal on the roof of the chimney because of a choking hazard so now every-time i look at the new sets i feel like something's missing, because they didn't replace it with anything else!!

I think the top of the chimney has a hole in it too. It's kind of irritating to me that they didn't re-do it in some way. Although I understand about wanting to keep costs down.

Brittany, do you mean the later Tea Sets' chimneys?
I am not 100% sure, but I believe they have no holes in them....

I pulled out my tea set because I was curious. I've got a complete post-recall tea set. It has white kitties, brown bunnies, no animals on sugar dish or chimney (but no hole in chimney).

Personally I think the kitty popping out of the chimney looks funny. But I do adore the bunny on the sugar dish.

My bunnies are brown and kittens are white. The kitten in the top is white too. Maybe it's like the jogging gerbils; they made both in both colours and then randomly split them up, these two brown, these two white, or these two white, these two brown. Either way they're cute! I do think though that if I had this as a child I would have been frustrated that I couldn't take the animals off to play with them.

Also, the bunny doesn't come off the sugar bowl. It's attached, like all the others. Is that normal? I thought it was supposed to be detachable and therefore a hazard?

I too have the recalled version, my bunny does come off, but it is also fairly secured onto the sugar bowl. You actually have to kind of wiggle it out, at least on mine you do. :D
