I've been a little inactive these past months due to stress. I hit a wall this fall in the financial department and was in a mad scramble to find new employment. Luckily I landed a new gig pretty quickly in my search and I've now been working as a cage cashier at my local casino for about a month. I have to say this is by far the best service industry job I've had to date. It's so enjoyable to hand people money and make them happy.
Now that my finances aren't looking so dire, I'm starting to hunt for toys again and I'll be more active here. I was sorry to have to sit this years swaps out, but I loved looking at everyone's gifts and holiday cards, and I'm already looking forward to next years summer swap. (Maybe I'll have to step up and host this time around.
)I wanted to take tonight to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope you have some fun celebrations planned for tomorrow evening. I'll be working at the casino, as it's the busiest night of the year there!
