My new custom !

Wow, Alie! How did you get the new rhinestone in the sparkling pony? It looks so 'real' - like it's bought from a store!

I really really adore the red panda! I think they are adorable in real life but as an LPS it is so cute! When i am doing customs i think the hardest part for me is around the eyes! Does anybody have any tricks that make it go quicker? I usually just spend forever!

I usually paint around the eyes.

When it's possible I paint around too. Before the acrylic is dried, if I have spilled over, I gently scratched with a toothpick on the accidentally covered.

The toothpick ! A handy tool !

I struggled to place it.
I was able to insert a needle into the leg of the horse for push the rhinestone from inside to prevent it from falling into. Push a little, retain carefully from inside. Very carefully. At the end glue has acted, and rhinestones was at his place.

I use acrylique paint. But since a little while I purchased paint with Pearl and Metallic effect range Decoart.
I'm super happy with this purchase!
I am preparing a new custom for very soon.

Here is the new pony custom that I mentionned in my last comment.

I just knew that I wanted to do a Silver Pony. But I had no idea for the details.
I started painting this pony in pale gray, slightly glittery.
Then I dug his hole.


I wanted a spotted pony with a sponge. But I did not succeed.
I'm making research on rare dresses horses. And I loved the "Overo Sabino" dress which is a mottled and sparse scattered discoloration to the chest, belly and legs of the horse.

Here is the result after many hours of tentatives !

I was lucky to find there is a few days a couple of royal carriage ponies.
But Princess was damaged by a dog bite.

Here is pictures of the story of Princess's renovation.
I bought a coating that I had already used for mock-up, which is to me just magical !
First I sanded the damage with a cardboard file (nail file).

Then you must apply the coating. No more on small holes to fill.
With a thicker layer where a part is missing like on the halter.

Once dry, the coating becomes very strong. It can then be sanded or cut with a scalpel.
With patience I tried to reconstruct as best I could.

When it's dry then I could paint it for a new custom !
