I have a giant google docs list of my collection, which lists everything I have, everything I'm missing, and most importantly, -which box each thing is in!- Photos are a great way to still look at your collection easily, even though it's in boxes.
Are you going to take photos of your Lego Friends collection too? I'd love to see!
Yes, I am going to take photos of my Lego Friends collection as well. And some other things - did you ever hear of Grand Champions? They were model horses that were a pretty huge craze in the 90s in Australia. I only have two of the regular-sized ones, but I was thinking of starting to collect the mini versions.
I'm taking photos on my phone though! I'm thinking of borrowing my husband's tripod and setting it up with my digital camera, but it's so much easier with the photos on my phone automatically uploading to my computer. I'd have to find my cable and download everything and make sure the battery was charged and just ugh. And the file sizes are huge! I'm not sure I need that.
I also have a giant Google Doc spreadsheet of everything, but I'm putting all of mine in the one big box. I'm still collecting, too, even though I'm not displaying. My husband is sad that I'm putting my LPS away! He wants to buy me a new display cabinet, but we just don't have the room! I promised him I'd put them back out when we move to a bigger house LOL!
