Oh my gosh, fantastic!! I love that commercial - I've never seen a Japanese LPS ad before!

I don't think I have any photos of loose Japanese 1992 sets on my site, but I have a few MIB scans of '92 Japanese sets:

Aww, their dot eyes are so cute. I love the Japanese "Littlest Pet Shop" banner, it's adorable with the flowers and little animals all crowded on top!

Has anyone ever seen dot-eyed variations of the Li'l Paw Prints Pets?

Unfortunately not.
I believe that the japanese sets belong to the same product-line like the german sets. The package designs are identical for several series. For as long as I collect I have seen the My Real Pets serie (in this package design) in GE and Japan only. In view of that fact I don't believe that the Lil' Paw Prints sets were sold in Japan as they also hasn't been sold in Germany.

Edit: Do you think the red playcase is an exception? It's hard to understand :D

Interesting! And now that I think about it, I don't recall having ever seen any international packaging for the Li'l Paw Prints Pets. Do any of our Canadian friends remember if they were released in Canada?

It does seem like the 93 Playset may be an exception to that, Cora...ahhhh the constant exceptions!!
