Brown baby bunny + yarn?

Postby Synthetica » Tue Feb 16, 2016 11:24 am

I got this bunny from one of my cousins when I was a kid. The back of his head his hollow with a square hole in the back.

It looks just like the standing baby bunnies from the Mommy & Baby Bunnies set, so is it from that, but just damaged in some way? Like his glue seam came apart? I have no idea. I'm lost.

The yarn pretty much looks the same as LPS yarn, but I can't seem to find one that the "ball" part is completely round (like how LPS yarn is flat on one side when laying down). The edges also aren't as smooth as LPS yarn. I'm assuming it isn't LPS, but no idea what it's from. Any ideas?

Wow! That's ... quite startling.

The yarn ball looks like a fakie to me; someone here might be able to ID it.

The bunny - I think you are right. I think its a regular LPS bunny, with the back of the head pulled off. I know there is a seam along that line that would match. I'm not game enough to try to pull apart any of my bunnies to confirm though!

Thanks, Waylah!

I was thinking the same about the yarn, as well. The edges just aren't smooth enough to be LPS. I really wonder what it could be from though, as the mold looks VERY similar to LPS.

My poor bunny. When I was a kid I always assumed he had the square hole there for a reason, then today I realized he's probably just broken. Poor fella.

I agree about the bunny, I think the back of his head just came off somehow.

Maybe you could give him a hat to cover up the hole! :D
